Interview with Instagram Sensations Priscilla and Poppleton’s Mom!

Priscilla and Poppleton are two of the cutest little stars on the internet.  These two mini pigs have stolen hearts around the world, including ours! My mother has been a long time pig fan. She has wanted a pig for years, but settled for a collection of pig figurines and photos. After coming across the Priscilla the Mini Pig page on Facebook, we both fell in love with Priscilla and her adorable little brother, Poppleton (aka Prissy and Pop.) The {Read More}

Allprovide All-Natural Fresh Raw Dog Food Review

Allprovide is a new all-natural raw pet food company with a focus on making pets healthier and happier by providing wholesome, real human-grade food for dogs and cats. I’ve been interested in transitioning Delia and Chewy to a raw diet for a while, but the process seemed daunting. Cost, equipment, quality ingredients, safety…these were all concerns. Staff and volunteers worked hard at assessing, bathing, grooming and setting up warm, soft places for the dogs to rest. Several were sent immediately for emergency veterinary care. Filthy, {Read More}

How Did Dogs Become Our Best Friends?

Have you ever wondered how dogs became our best friends? TheUncommonDog.com has created this fun infographic with research from Nationalgeographic.com and Npr.org. I love the fact that if it weren’t for dogs WE MIGHT NOT have survived the Ice Age! Their unconditional love has gotten us humans through more than we could ever give them credit for.

Where have we been?

Well, a lot has happened since my last post about K9 Kamp. Our plans to explore the parks and trails in our new area were spoiled by flooding. The flood waters wreaked a lot of havoc for weeks, but cleanup has gone well, so hopefully we’ll be able to explore the newly opened dog park soon. In addition to Mother Nature changing our plans, I suffered a back injury that limited my activity for several weeks. Delia has been a {Read More}
