One week ago today, my sweet Mom, Carol Bregant ma One week ago today, my sweet Mom, Carol Bregant made her way to Heaven. She protected me and her nephew Erik right to the end, waiting until I stepped outside to check on Amelia and Erik was busy in the kitchen, to quietly let go. She always looked out for us. She was my mother, best friend, and partner in so many adventures. She was incredibly kind, loving, creative, giving, and so patient. Her imagination, creativity, and "resourcefulness," as she'd say, never stopped. She loved deeply, accepted everyone, and wasn't afraid to speak up when it mattered. She could be fiery when needed and didn't tolerate disrespect or hate towards anyone. She adored her nieces and nephews and was proud to be “Aunt Purple” to her great-great-nieces and nephews. And she was the absolute BEST “Nanny”—a title she chose proudly—to our dogs and the dogs we cared for. She adored her granddogs, and they adored her. Even after nearly 10 years living with Alzheimer's, watching her fade through the years, and witnessing how the disease destroyed her mind and body, it is unfathomable to me that my sweet Mom is gone. But today, she is finally free—free of pain, confusion, and illness. She is reunited with my Dad after 45 years, and with her sister, brother, and parents. She’s whole again. She’s at peace. And for that, I am truly grateful. As she wished, there will be no funeral—she chose to donate her body to medical research. I’ll be planning a small celebration of her life around her birthday in July. She had the most beautiful smile. I will miss her forever. Her favorite verse was 1 Corinthians 14:4-8, which she embodied completely. “Love is patient, love is kind… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” — 1 Corinthians 13:4–8 Her obituary is linked in my bio.

Inside was their beautiful Sweet Potato Pie for Dogs🥧 (a real treat for my pups), along with 🥓Bacon & Banana🍌 treats that got lots of tail wags, playful toys from BARK, a fun tote bag, and a beautifully handmade blanket that added such a special touch.❤️🐾 The care and thought Faith Treats put into every item truly stood out. If you’re looking to treat your pups with something unique and wholesome I highly recommend them. This basket was a reminder of the wonderful people behind small businesses who genuinely care about the animals they serve. Anyone else have a favorite treat from Faith Treats? I’d love to hear about it. ❤️

I have to brag about Delia. She is the absolute sw I have to brag about Delia. She is the absolute sweetest, best-behaved little girl. She saw her doctor today and was the best little patient. She has a completely torn left CCL.😩 If you know Delia, you know she is very active. Looooves to run and fetch, which is how she hurt her leg. She's healthy, but due to age and past anesthesia issues, we've opted for conservative management, no surgery. Please send healing prayers, good vibes, whatever you believe, her way. What a beautiful day for the @apaofmo Canine Carni What a beautiful day for the @apaofmo Canine Carnival 🐾 We were able to share @bailing_out_benji work and educate about puppy mills! 💜One of the highlights of the day for me was meeting sweet little Rosie.🌹 She spent the first 9 mos of her life as an Envigo beagle, being used for inhumane testing. Before her parents adopted her, she was known as CMKCEU, her tag number, which is also tattooed on her ear. She has adjusted to the life she deserves with her family, surrounded by love.
