Chewy was a regular at the doggie daycare/pet hotel where I work, and since I had been thinking of adopting a friend for Delia, my awesome bosses told me he was looking for a new home. Delia’s Dish: Peanut Butter, Bacon and Banana Dog Treat Recipe
It’s Spoil Your Pet Month, and even though I spoil Delia every day, I baked some special treats for her with three of her favorites…bacon, bananas, and peanut butter. She loved them so much she actually begged for more! I followed this recipe from Epicurious with a little tweaking. (I didn’t have any flax seeds, so we skipped those, and we didn’t baste them with the honey mixture before baking because I was going to dip them in carob, but changed my mind after baking. My Failure at Delia’s Dental Care Routine and How I Plan to Fix It
Delia has horrible breath. It is my fault. We used to brush her teeth at least three times a week, but she put up such a fight, I felt terrible, so I stopped, which was worse for her in the long run. I’ve bought countless dental treats, water additives, and numerous flavors of toothpaste. I’m convinced she’s got to be one of the pickiest dogs on the planet. Not only for her, but I can’t help but feel joyful watching her play so happily. For the first time in weeks, the weather was warm enough for Delia to play outside this past weekend.
