B is for Boxers

Today’s letter is…

B

for…

B is for Boxers Rascal

Rascal

I didn’t know many boxers until I started working at A Howlin’ Good Time doggie daycare.  There are several that come for daycare and boarding and it has been so much fun spending time with them and becoming more familiar with the breed. Boxers are such funny, energetic and affectionate dogs.

B is for Boxers Boomer

Boomer

Boomer. Ah, Boomer. I adore this guy. He’s the sweetest grumpy older guy you could ever meet. His raspy bark, intense glare, and sweet nuzzles melt my heart.

B is for Boxers Shasta

Shasta

Shasta is strong, quiet, and sweet. All of the girls love him and the boys are intimidated because he’s strong, handsome, and well, all the girls love him!

B is for Boxers Henry

Henry

Henry is a super-sweet older guy who loves to play with his sister, Addie. He puts on  a show when he needs to go outside by twirling and barking all the way to the door. True to his breed’s characteristics, he’s quite an energetic clown.

B is for Boxers Addie

Addie

Addie is Henry’s little sister. She adores him, as he does her, and wherever Henry goes; Addie goes. She gives great hugs and has some of the funniest expressions.

B is for Boxers Miss Elle

Miss. Elle

Miss Elle is absolutely adorable and super sweet. She has a quiet and sweet demeanor, and spends a lot of her time quietly watching the other dogs run and play. Get her alone when everyone else goes outside to play, and she comes to life! She loves to play one-on-one with the staff by running and wrestling.

  1. You must love your job. It sounds like something I’d like to do. Doggie daycare and hotel — sweet.

  2. Well, I thought I was in love with Annie from “A” – but Rascal has just stolen my heart. Boxers are such a beautiful bred… please tell me you’re going to do Mini-Schnauzers and St Bernards too!

They are beautiful, aren’t they? So much fun, too. I will see what I can come up with! Thanks for visiting again!

  3. These dogs are so adorable! What a wonderful theme for A to Z. I love it!

  4. Love those boxers! We have a boxer rescue in the San Antonio, TX area – which is wonderful! I’m so glad I found your blog. I’m a dog lover (who isn’t) but really enjoy the personalities you invite us to get to know through your writing and pictures! Bravo!

  5. Love all the pictures!!!

The only thing I know about boxers is that they can have a high energy level. I met a woman who was raising a boxer and what she had to do to wear her guy out was astounding. But he was so happy and gorgeous and although she complained, it was always with a smile and love in her eyes.

Thanks Kimberly! Do they ever have a high energy level, but their happpy, loving demeanor is worth it. Daycare is such a great outlet for their energy.

  6. Hello! Had to come in and see the dogs. I have an assistance dog UK – she alerts me for low blood sugar, as I don’t have warning symptoms of low blood sugar and it falls really quickly. She has saved my life many times. She’s a mini (14 inches) Australian labradoodle. Love boxers! I’m doing an amazing animal blog. Liz http://www.lizbrownleepoet.com

  9. I’ve never been a big fan of boxers only because of the drool lololol. But I do find their expressions so adorable!

  10. The Boxer has been one of my favorite breeds since I first got into dog and cat breeds at eight years old. I just love their brindle coloring, their size, their shape, how they hold themselves.

  11. Awww, there is a boxer at a doggie daycare where I work that tugs at my heart every day! 🙂 So happy to have found your blog, looking forward to visiting again!
