Our Pet Friendly Pumpkin Patch Adventure
Delia and Chewy joined their friends on a visit to Meert Tree Farm, a pet friendly pumpkin patch and corn maze just outside of St. Louis. Delia loves it there. She had her first pumpkin patch and corn maze adventure there a few years ago. This year, Chewy joined her for his first time. They were eager to pick out a pumpkin AND to earn their Corn Maze and Hay Ride badges for PupScouts! We were happy that our friends could join us. Happy National Dog Day!
August 26th is celebrated annually as National Dog Day! National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Colleen Paige, Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate. National Dog Day serves to celebrate dogs. Working dogs, family dogs, hero dogs, service dogs…whatever role your dogs play in your life…today is the day to celebrate their impact on you life. National Dog Day also serves to bring recognition to dogs in shelters in need of adoption. I work at a Doggie Daycare and have the pleasure of spending every day surrounded by awesome dogs. Chewy Celebrated His First Birthday!
Chewy turned one year old a few weeks ago. He had a small party at home with family and then a party at daycare with his friends. The Birthday Boy was ready for his first-ever birthday cake! He was a good boy and waited patiently for the cake, which was a Happy Birthday Pup-PIE from The Lazy Dog Cookie Company. He loved the cake! He was ecstatic to celebrate at daycare with his friends! Chewy Caught the Ball!
We decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and do what Delia loves best….fetch! Except today, Chewy was determined to get the ball before Delia… …and he’s off! He caught the ball!! He usually can’t keep up with her, but this time, they ran together! He decided to take it to the deck and chew on it for a bit. Delia: “You gonna let go of that ball, Chewy?” Chewy: “No, I think I’m gonna keep it.”

BlogPaws Nashville 2015 Recap
A few weeks ago we attended the 2015 BlogPaws conference in Nashville, TN. This was my second BlogPaws conference, but Delia and Chewy’s first. Flat Delia went to the 2013 conference, but it was much more fun with the real Delia! This trip was Delia’s and Chewy’s first long road trip and hotel stay. They did great! They mastered the elevators and knew how to find our room by the first night. Our room had a balcony and they enjoyed watching all of the other pets and bloggers arrive. Today’s letter is…. for Chewy! Today marks one month since Chewy joined our family. He is a nine month old Lhatese and an absolute joy. It has been many years since I’ve had a puppy and he keeps me on my toes. The boy is aptly named. He will put anything in his mouth. We’re working hard on learning what is OK to chew and what is not OK to chew. I’m lucky in the fact that I can take him to work with me, so he spends the day playing with his friends at daycare. Daycare is great for socialization and exercise that puppies need. He is mastering housebreaking…

Introducing…Chewy!
Delia has a new puppy brother. Meet Chewy! He’s an 8-month old Kyi-Leo, or better known as a Lhasa-Apso/Maltese mix. Meet Chewy! Chewy was a regular at the doggie daycare/pet hotel where I work, and since I had been thinking of adopting a friend for Delia, my awesome bosses told me he was looking for a new home. Chewy loves doggie daycare! He is the perfect addition to our family! He is the best puppy brother Delia could ever want.
